I found something in Claude Design last week that most people are completely walking past.

There's an animation mode. Not the slide builder. Not the static design tool. An actual animation mode that builds the kind of visuals a $1,000-an-hour ex-Apple motion designer would spend a full day on.

And the second I saw it, my brain went in fifteen directions at once. Because this is not just for keynotes.

The AI Move

Claude Design has an animation mode. Almost nobody is using it.

Open Claude Design. Select Animation, not Slides. That one word changes everything.

Here is the prompt that started it for me:

"I'm running a foundations of AI workshop over Zoom and I need animated slides for the full presentation. The workshop teaches small business owners how to work with AI. Build me an animated slide for the core takeaway: 'Your AI is only as smart as the context you give it.' Clean, premium, motion-forward. Ask any clarifying questions before you build."

Claude builds the draft. And if the first pass feels like PowerPoint with effects slapped on, that is when you use this:

"This currently looks like a PowerPoint with animation effects pushed onto it. That's B work. I don't accept B work. Redesign this slide so it looks like it was built by a $1,000-an-hour ex-Apple motion designer who spent a full day on this one frame. The kind of visual that makes a live audience put their phones down."

That prompt is a quantum leap. Use it every time.

Now here is where I want you to think bigger.

Client proposals. A static PDF is easy to ignore. An animated proposal slide that moves with your pitch gets remembered.

Discovery call decks. One slide that opens your conversation with motion and intention says more about how you work than ten minutes of talking.

Lead magnets. Your next freebie does not have to be a flat PDF. An animated cover slide or intro frame makes it feel premium before anyone reads a word.

Content. Screen record an animated slide. Post it. Nobody else is doing this.

Client deliverable walkthroughs. Show your client their results in a presentation that actually looks like the quality of work you delivered.

The tool has been sitting there. Most people generated one static slide and moved on. You know what to do with it now.

This week's prompt

Paste this into Claude Design in Animation mode. It will build you a motion slide worth actually using.

"I want to build an animated slide for [your context: a client presentation, a lead magnet, a content piece]. The main message is: [your quote or key point]. Please ask any clarifying questions before designing. A+ only. The kind of visual that makes an audience put their phones down."
